Sickness, Disability and Work: Breaking the barriers – Ireland
Thursday 20 November

Ireland should improve its benefits system for people with disability and do more to help them find work. These are among the recommendations of a new OECD report, entitled Sickness, Disability and Work: Breaking the Barriers (Vol.3) – Denmark, Ireland, Finland and the Netherlands, to be released on Thursday 20 November.

Billy Kelleher, Irish Minister for Labour Affairs, and John Martin, OECD Director of Employment, Labour and Social Affairs, will present the report’s findings and recommendations at a news conference that same day. It will take place at 09.30 AM at the Government Press Centre, Taoiseach, Upper Merrion Street, Dublin.

To register for the news conference or for further information, journalists should contact Spencer Wilson, OECD Media Division (tel. + 33 1 45 24 81 18).
